Role Overview

Participate in a multi-platform SI program spanning ServiceNow, Blue Prism RPA, BOT orchestration, API integrations, and Sisense analytics — delivered across both Accenture-managed and client infrastructure. The program operates with a separate Enterprise Architect accountable for the overall solution architecture and target state. The Technology Architect sits below that layer, owning the technical design and delivery integrity across Vista's full platform stack.

This is a hands-on, delivery-embedded architecture role. You will translate enterprise architecture decisions into implementable technical designs, own the technical standards across all platforms, govern how components integrate, and be the person the delivery teams turn to when a technical decision needs to be made and made correctly. You will do delivery by being embedded with the client and the delivery teams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Platform Architecture

• Own the technical design across full platform stack — ServiceNow, Blue Prism RPA, BOT orchestration, APIs, and Sisense — translating enterprise architecture decisions into implementable, delivery-ready technical specifications.
• Define and govern the technical design for each platform workstream: data models, workflow logic, integration contracts, automation architecture, and reporting layer design — with enough detail that development teams can build without ambiguity.
• Maintain technical design consistency across platforms — ensure that decisions made in one workstream do not create rework or conflict in another.
• Own technical design documentation: solution design documents, interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and technical decision logs — maintained as living artefacts, not one-time deliverables.
• Operate within the bounds of enterprise architecture decisions — escalate where platform constraints or delivery realities require enterprise-level decisions, and do not substitute technology choices for architecture choices.

Integration Architecture

• Own the integration architecture across platform boundaries — how ServiceNow, Blue Prism, orchestration, APIs, and Sisense connect, what data flows between them, and how failures are handled across those boundaries.
• Define API contracts and integration specifications with sufficient precision for both Accenture and client development teams to implement and test independently.
• Govern integration design across Accenture-managed and client-hosted infrastructure — define what crosses the boundary, how it is secured, and how it is monitored.
• Identify and resolve integration design conflicts early — before they become defects in SIT or blockers at go-live.
• Own the technical approach to BOT-to-platform integration: how Blue Prism bots interact with ServiceNow workflows, consume API responses, and feed Sisense data pipelines.

Technical Governance & Standards

• Define and enforce technical standards across all Vista workstreams — coding standards, naming conventions, error handling patterns, logging requirements, and security baseline — applied consistently regardless of platform.
• Run structured technical design reviews at key delivery gates — PRDs, build completion, SIT entry — with documented outcomes and tracked remediation of findings.
• Own technical debt identification and management: surface it explicitly, quantify the delivery risk, and ensure program leadership has visibility to make informed decisions.
• Govern configuration management across platforms — version control, environment promotion standards, and change control for technical artefacts.
• Be the technical authority for the delivery teams — available, decisive, and grounded in what is being built, not just what was designed.

Hybrid Infrastructure Technical Ownership

• Own the technical design for Vista's hybrid infrastructure model — components on Accenture-managed infrastructure and components on client-hosted environments — with clear boundaries, interfaces, and security controls.
• Define environment architecture across DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD — consistent configuration, promotion standards, and technical readiness criteria for each.
• Govern technical aspects of environment setup and release promotion — ensure deployments are repeatable, documented, and do not introduce configuration drift between environments.
• Manage technical dependencies on client infrastructure — coordinate with client technical teams on access, configuration, and environment readiness without ceding technical accountability.

Delivery Team Technical Support

• Provide technical direction to ServiceNow, RPA, API, and Sisense development teams — available for design clarification, technical problem-solving, and architectural guidance throughout the build cycle.
• Review technical outputs from delivery teams — code, configuration, integration implementations — against design specifications; raise deviations early and track resolution.
• Support the Test Lead on technical aspects of test design: integration architecture test coverage, environment configuration, defect root cause analysis, and test data architecture.
• Contribute to go-live readiness from a technical perspective — infrastructure readiness, configuration validation, technical risk assessment, and post-go-live monitoring design.

Client & Stakeholder Technical Engagement

• Engage client technical stakeholders — client architects, infrastructure teams, security teams — as the primary Accenture technical contact for platform and integration design decisions.
• Translate technical design into clear, non-technical language for business and program stakeholders where required — without losing precision on what is being delivered.
• Represent technical design in client technical governance forums — defend decisions with evidence, acknowledge constraints honestly, and escalate where client decisions create technical risk.

Location and Terms

• Primary location: Spain
• Travel: 25-30% maybe required to program locations for stakeholder workshops, governance, milestone events, and client relationship management
• Collaboration with offshore teams (e.g. India) and vendors across time zones — flexibility required

Qualifications

Must Have

• 12+ years in technology delivery, with a career grounded in SI program — designing and governing technical solutions across heterogeneous platform landscapes, not single-platform implementations.
• Hands-on technical depth across at least three of Vista's platforms: ServiceNow (platform configuration, integration, workflow design), Blue Prism RPA (process and object studio, orchestration), REST/SOAP API design and governance, Sisense or equivalent BI platform architecture.
• Proven integration architecture experience — defining API contracts, managing cross-platform data flows, and governing integration across infrastructure boundaries in a live SI delivery context.
• Experience working beneath an Enterprise Architect — operating within an architectural framework, escalating correctly, and not overreaching into enterprise-level decisions.
• Strong technical governance instincts: design reviews, technical standard(s) enforcement, environment management, and configuration control on complex SI program.
• Onsite availability — this role requires client-side presence as the embedded technical authority.

Strong Advantage

• ServiceNow platform certification (CIS, CAD, or equivalent) — demonstrable platform depth beyond configuration familiarity.
• Blue Prism Developer or Architect certification — hands-on RPA design and orchestration experience in an SI context.
• Experience governing hybrid infrastructure technical design — where components span two or more hosting environments with different access, security, and configuration models.
• Banking or Financial Services SI background — familiarity with the security, compliance, and control requirements that banking clients impose on technical architecture.
• Experience with Sisense data architecture — data model design, pipeline integration, and dashboard layer technical governance.
