Key responsibilities
We are looking for a Credit Risk Officer to:• independently assess and approve Standard Lombard credit transactions within delegated authority and prepare credit recommendations for higher approval levels where required
• perform credit analysis covering client, collateral, concentration, liquidity and transactional risks to ensure a holistic risk assessment
• ensure transactions are aligned with the firm's risk appetite, lending principles and regulatory requirements
• proactively monitor and manage risks within the assigned portfolio, identifying emerging risks and recommending appropriate mitigating actions
• provide independent challenge and risk guidance to stakeholders while maintaining effective and constructive partnerships
contribute to the ongoing enhancement of credit risk standards, processes and portfolio governance
The team
You'll be part of the Global Wealth Management Credit Risk Control team supporting the Spanish market. As a member of the second line of defence, you'll independently review, approve and monitor credit risks associated with Standard Lombard lending activities, ensuring disciplined risk-taking and effective portfolio oversight. You will work closely with client advisors, lending specialists and senior risk professionals across the organization.Your skills and experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field• proven experience in credit risk analysis, private banking lending, securities-backed financing or corporate lending
• sound knowledge of Lombard lending products, collateral risk management and credit approval processes
• demonstrated ability to exercise credit judgment and make risk decisions within delegated authority
• strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to provide independent challenge where required
fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
