As a Back-End Software Engineer, Specialist reporting to the Senior Manager, you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering cloud-based data solutions that power financial markets globally. You will be part of a high-performing engineering team, contributing to complex, production-grade software systems that serve external clients around the world.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality back-end software applications that support critical financial market infrastructure.
- Translate business and product requirements into scalable, reliable software solutions in close collaboration with product managers and cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a technical expert on development projects, conducting code reviews and contributing to software design discussions.
- Support, maintain, and document software functionality to ensure operational excellence and continuity.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and helping elevate overall team capability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience as a Java software engineer.
- Proficiency in AWS, SQL, RESTful APIs, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with build tools including Maven and Git, and strong working knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
- Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with big data tools, Data Lakes, or Data Warehousing concepts.
- Interest in or exposure to financial markets, fintech, or capital markets technology.

The base pay range for this role is $96,000 - $132,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
