Senior Business Development Manager (Index, structured products and ETFs)

Are you commercially driven, highly credible with institutional clients, and passionate about how indices are used across investment products? We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our index business with asset managers, ETF providers, structured product issuers and other financial-market participants. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of Index Licensing, Sales and Index Product Development, and combine strong client relationships, deep index know-how and hands-on execution. You will identify commercial opportunities, translate client needs into index solutions, and work closely with Product Development and Sales to expand the use of our existing and future index offering.
What you will do
- Drive commercial growth and index licensing across asset managers, ETF providers and equity derivatives, cross-asset structuring, and retail structured product desks in the UK/EU.
- Establish new client relationships through direct outreach, industry events and targeted business development campaigns.
- Partner with clients' product development and financial engineering teams to design bespoke strategies, thematic baskets, and quantitative investment strategies.
- Work closely with Index Product Development, Sales and Marketing to move opportunities from idea generation to commercial execution.
- Develop high-quality pitch materials independently, including clear value propositions, market context, index analytics, data-driven comparisons and product-use-case analysis.
What you bring
- 5 years of experience in relationship management, business development or sales, product development / management linked to indices, ETF/index-linked products, structuring, or a closely related financial-market role.
- Proven ability to acquire new clients and originate new businesses, not only manage existing relationships.
- Strong commercial relationships with asset managers, structured product issuers, ETF providers, banks, platforms or other institutional users of indices.
- Self-starter mindset and hands-on with strong ownership and the discipline to move opportunities forward in a structured way.
