Japan Core Rates Trading Teamでは、修士課程・博士課程で培った専門性を金融市場の実務に応用したい方を対象に、1～3か月の有期契約社員を募集します。採用者には、東京オフィスにおいて、チームのシニアメンバーの指導のもとで取り組む個別の研究プロジェクトを担当いただきます。

プロジェクトは、理論的な検討と実装の双方で構成され、金融市場、データ分析、AI等に関する知見を実践的に深められる内容です。所属大学の承認ならびに当社の守秘義務、知的財産および情報管理に関する要件を満たす場合、研究成果を修士論文・博士論文の研究基盤として活用できる可能性があります。

具体的なテーマは、契約開始時点の事業上のニーズ、候補者の専門分野、利用可能なデータ等を踏まえて決定します。限られた期間の中で、仮説の設定から分析、実装、検証までを主体的に進め、結果を分かりやすく発信できる方を歓迎します。

The Japan Core Rates Trading Team is seeking Master’s and PhD candidates who are interested in applying their academic expertise to real-world challenges in financial markets. Successful candidates will join us on a fixed-term contract of one to three months and undertake an individual research project on-site at our Tokyo office, supervised by a senior member of the team. Each project will combine theoretical analysis with practical implementation, providing an opportunity to deepen expertise in areas such as financial markets, data analytics and AI. Subject to university approval and the Bank’s confidentiality, intellectual-property and information-governance requirements, the work may also provide a foundation for an MSc or PhD thesis. The specific topic will reflect business priorities at the start of the assignment, the candidate’s area of expertise and the availability of relevant data. We welcome candidates who can independently develop a hypothesis, conduct analysis, implement and validate solutions, and communicate their findings clearly within a focused timeframe.

• AI Research：金融市場リサーチやトレーディングフロアの業務プロセスにおけるAI活用機会を評価し、LLMプロンプトの設計・最適化に取り組みます。
• Data Analytics：Pythonを用いて金融データを分析し、可視化やダッシュボードを開発するとともに、定量的なビジネスリサーチを支援します。
• Research & Innovation：学術論文や業界資料をレビューし、既存研究の再現・拡張を通じて新たな研究課題を提案します。また、新興技術を含む新たな研究手法を調査します。
• AI Research: Evaluate opportunities to apply AI solutions to financial-markets research and trading-floor processes, and design and optimise LLM prompts.

• Data Analytics: Analyse financial datasets using statistical & machine learning methods, develop visualisations and dashboards in Python, and support general quantitative business research.

• Research & Innovation: Review academic and industry publications, propose new research questions by replicating and extending prior findings, and explore emerging research methods and technologies.

主な業務内容 / Key Responsibilities

• 担当テーマに関する先行研究、公開情報および社内で利用可能な資料の調査
• 研究仮説、分析計画、評価指標および実装方針の策定
• Python等を用いたデータ処理、統計分析、モデルまたはプロトタイプの開発
• 分析結果の検証ならびに限界、リスク、実務上の示唆の整理
• 可視化、ダッシュボード、技術文書およびプレゼンテーション資料の作成
• 指導担当者や関係者に対する定期的な進捗共有および最終成果発表
• 当社の情報セキュリティ、守秘義務、モデルリスク、コンプライアンスその他の関連方針の遵守
• Review relevant academic research, public information and internally available materials.
• Define research hypotheses, analytical plans, evaluation metrics and implementation approaches.
• Process data, perform statistical analysis, and develop models or prototypes using Python and other relevant tools.
• Validate findings and assess limitations, risks and practical implications.
• Prepare visualisations, dashboards, technical documentation and presentation materials.
• Share progress regularly with the supervisor and relevant stakeholders and deliver a final presentation.
• Comply with the Bank’s information-security, confidentiality, model-risk, compliance and other applicable policies.

必須要件 / Mandatory

• 採用時点で修士課程または博士課程に在籍している方、または同等の高度な研究経験を有する方
• 数理科学、統計学、コンピューターサイエンス、AI／機械学習、物理学、工学、経済学、金融工学または関連分野の専門性
• Pythonを用いたデータ分析または実装経験
• 仮説設定、文献調査、再現可能な分析および結果の論理的な説明ができる方
• 英語で技術資料を読み書きし、自身の研究内容を説明できる方。日本語力があれば尚可
• 契約期間中、東京オフィスでオンサイト勤務が可能な方
• 入社日までに日本での就労資格を有している方
• Current enrolment in a Master’s or PhD programme at the time of appointment, or equivalent advanced research experience.
• Expertise in mathematics, statistics, computer science, AI or machine learning, physics, engineering, economics, financial engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in data analysis or implementation using Python.
• Ability to formulate hypotheses, review relevant literature, conduct reproducible analysis and explain results logically.
• Ability to read and write technical materials and explain research in English. Japanese-language capability would be an advantage.
• Availability to work on-site at the Tokyo office throughout the contract period.
• Legal authorisation to work in Japan by the start date.

• SQL、Git、クラウド環境、BI／可視化ツール、ダッシュボード開発の経験
• 査読付き論文、学会発表、オープンソースへの貢献、研究プロジェクトの完遂経験
• 不確実性の高い課題を自律的に構造化し、短期間で実行可能な成果へつなげる力
• Interest in, or foundational knowledge of, financial markets, rates products, bonds, derivatives or quantitative research.
• Research experience in machine learning, natural-language processing, LLMs, time-series analysis, optimisation, causal inference or related areas.
• Experience with SQL, Git, cloud environments, BI or visualisation tools, or dashboard development.
• Experience completing research projects, publishing peer-reviewed work, presenting at conferences or contributing to open-source projects.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems independently and translate them into achievable outcomes within a short timeframe.
