Job Description:
The Role
The Asset Management Central Finance team delivers high-quality financial reporting to senior leaders and business partners, leads the Asset Management’s budget and multi-year plan efforts, and manages the division’s scorecard and KPI reporting processes. The team supports all advisor, shared services, and technology groups within Asset Management as well as all discretionary assets managed by FMR Co. You’ll partner closely with Asset Management Line Finance and other Central Finance teams across Fidelity to effectively plan, analyze, and report on a broad range of financial metrics in support of the long-term success of Asset Management.
Success in this role will require building strong relationships with business partners to understand and articulate changes in business dynamics, and high-quality communication skills to convey key insights to senior leaders.
The Skills and Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA, advanced degree, and/or additional certifications a plus
- 7 plus years of professional experience in Finance or equivalent field
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Anaplan, PowerBI, and/or Tableau a plus
- Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with and influencing various levels in the organization
- Effective financial modeling skills, with an emphasis on scenario planning and working with large data sets
- Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions to problems that challenge the conventional approach
- Experience building and articulating financial forecasts, business cases, and/or long-term plans in collaboration with business partners
- Confidence and presence to work independently and lead workstreams from start to finish
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and an ability to break down difficult concepts and explain them clearly and concisely to stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of and interest in the various asset classes and investment vehicles supported by Asset Management
- Solid understanding of asset management industry dynamics and key competitors
- Budgeting experience and multi-year planning process experience.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
