Summary of Position
We are seeking an experienced and highly technical specialist to join our team as a Securities Clearing Specialist (VP). Operating as a senior individual contributor, you will run and support the platform’s equity and fixed-income clearing activities. In this role, you will work closely with the Front Office as the dedicated, high-level Operations resource for complex transactions.
You will be responsible for the daily execution of the lifecycle events of the firm’s principal trading activities, including syndicated fixed-income private placements, fixed-income repurchase agreements (repos), and equity stock borrow loan transactions. These lifecycle events include advanced deal pre-matching, trade settlement, and complex daily reconciliations and controls. This position requires frequent, direct professional interaction with our Front Office deal teams and the firm’s institutional client base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Post-Trade Lifecycle Controls: Perform rigorous controls on product post-trade lifecycles for security trading and repos, including Treasuries, Agencies, Corporates, Medium-Term Notes (MTNs), and GSCS Global Markets.
Intraday Reconciliation: Execute complex intraday reconciliations between internal Natixis systems and the firm’s clearing accounts to ensure absolute data alignment.
Risk Mitigation and Resolution: Research and resolve complex transaction discrepancies and exceptions to proactively avoid expensive failed trade scenarios.
Settlement Functions: Complete the daily settlement function, including executing intraday borrowing of securities from clearing banks, initiating pair-offs where applicable, and resolving complex open items.
Exposure Monitoring: Monitor bank screens for position and cash movements to guarantee the lowest possible exposure during settlements.
Inquiry and Audit Response: Prepare detailed technical responses to institutional customer inquiries, internal investigations, and audit requests.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree, paired with extensive, hands-on operational experience within the financial services industry, specifically focusing on clearing and settlement.
Licensing: An active Series 99 registration is required.
Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
System Experience: Strong technical familiarity with institutional fixed-income and equity trading systems, such as Summit, Fidessa, and Loanet.
Professional Competencies: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to manage high-volume transactional workflows independently under tight daily deadlines
The salary range for this position will be between $140,000 - 180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance

We are seeking a Global Markets Operations manager to oversee the Listed Clearing team which is responsible for the settlements, controls, cash management and client service of all listed equity products. This will require a strong focus on DTC Cash Equity settlements, Stock Borrow/Loan (US & Foreign), Options clearing in OCC. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a proven track record of building collaborative relationships across the broader operational community. The candidate must have working knowledge of everything listed above.
