Job Description: Manager (Talent Relations Manager)
Role Purpose
The Talent Relations Manager is responsible for managing workplace relations matters, conducting and overseeing employee investigations, providing advice to business leaders on people-related risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. The role partners with Talent, Legal, Compliance, Ethics, and business leaders to foster a fair, respectful, and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including grievances, complaints, workplace conflicts, misconduct concerns, and policy violations.
- Provide guidance to employees and leaders on workplace conduct, disciplinary matters, performance issues, and people practices.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation where appropriate.
- Support employees and managers in navigating sensitive workplace situations.
Investigations
- Conduct fair, objective, and timely investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, bullying, ethical violations, and other workplace concerns.
- Gather, analyze, and assess evidence to establish facts and findings.
- Prepare investigation reports, recommendations, and leadership briefings.
- Ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to employment laws, internal policies, codes of conduct, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
- Identify employee relations and compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Ethics, and Internal Audit functions on sensitive matters.
- Monitor emerging workplace risks and recommend policy or process improvements.
Policy Governance
- Develop, review, and update employee relations policies, investigation protocols, disciplinary frameworks, and workplace conduct guidelines.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies across the organization.
- Support policy communication, training, and awareness initiatives.
Case Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation.
- Track investigation trends, employee concerns, and workplace risks.
- Prepare management reports, metrics, and insights for leadership and governance forums.
- Ensure appropriate record retention and documentation standards are maintained.
Training and Awareness
- Deliver training on workplace conduct, anti-retaliation, respectful workplace practices, ethics, investigations, and compliance requirements.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and trust.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience in Employee Relations, HR Compliance, Investigations, Ethics, or Human Resources.
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations.
- Strong understanding of employment practices, compliance frameworks, and workplace risk management.
- Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, and senior business leaders.
