Your work profile

We are looking for a Technical Director – Sitecore to lead enterprise-level Sitecore digital experience implementations, architecture strategy, and technology delivery. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Sitecore XP/XM/XM Cloud, Sitecore Content Hub, composable DXP architecture, integrations, cloud-native delivery, and enterprise digital transformation programs.

This role requires strong technical leadership, architecture ownership, client-facing consulting skills, and the ability to guide large engineering teams across multiple workstreams. The candidate will be responsible for defining solution architecture, driving delivery excellence, establishing best practices, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing Sitecore implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Own and define the overall Sitecore solution architecture for enterprise digital platforms.
• Lead architecture decisions across Sitecore XP, XM, XM Cloud, Headless SXA, JSS, and Sitecore Content Hub.
• Design scalable, secure, and cloud-ready Sitecore solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Provide technical direction across CMS, DAM, CMP, personalization, search, analytics, integrations, and omnichannel content delivery.
• Drive adoption of modern composable DXP patterns using Sitecore products and third-party platforms.

Sitecore Content Hub Leadership

• Lead implementation and architecture of Sitecore Content Hub, including DAM, CMP, MRM, PCM, and integrations.
• Define content lifecycle workflows, metadata models, taxonomy, asset governance, and publishing processes.
• Integrate Sitecore Content Hub with Sitecore CMS, commerce platforms, PIM, CRM, campaign tools, and other enterprise systems.
• Guide teams on Content Hub configuration, extensibility, scripting, APIs, security models, and performance considerations.

Delivery & Engineering Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of large-scale Sitecore programs.
• Establish engineering standards, reusable frameworks, coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and quality gates.
• Review solution designs, technical specifications, implementation approaches, and release plans.
• Ensure projects meet performance, scalability, reliability, security, accessibility, and maintainability standards.
• Mentor architects, technical leads, developers, and QA engineers.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a senior technical advisor to clients and internal leadership.
• Translate business requirements into robust technology solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, discovery sessions, and roadmap discussions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, UX teams, content teams, and engineering teams.
• Support pre-sales, solution estimation, proposal development, and technical presentations when required.

Governance & Strategy

• Define Sitecore best practices, reference architectures, accelerators, and governance models.
• Evaluate new Sitecore capabilities and recommend adoption strategies.
• Drive platform modernization, migration, upgrade, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Identify technical risks early and provide mitigation plans.
• Contribute to capability building, hiring, training, and practice development.

Mandatory Skills

The candidate must have the following skills:

• Deep hands-on expertise in Sitecore XP, XM, XM Cloud, and modern Sitecore architecture.
• Strong implementation experience with Sitecore Content Hub.
• Proven experience in Content Hub DAM, CMP, metadata modeling, workflows, taxonomy, and integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Sitecore Headless Services, JSS, SXA / Headless SXA, and API-first architecture.
• Experience designing Sitecore solutions using ASP.NET, .NET Core / .NET, C#, MVC, Web APIs, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of Sitecore deployment topologies, scalability, caching, performance tuning, security, and personalization.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, preferably with Sitecore PaaS or SaaS-based implementations.
• Strong experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated release management.
• Experience integrating Sitecore with enterprise systems such as CRM, CDP, analytics, marketing automation, commerce, PIM, DAM, and search platforms.
• Strong leadership experience managing architects, technical leads, and distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent client-facing communication, consulting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Sitecore certifications in XP, XM Cloud, Content Hub, or related areas.
• Experience with Sitecore CDP, Personalize, Send, OrderCloud, Search, or Discover.
• Experience with composable DXP and MACH architecture.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with search technologies such as Solr, Azure Cognitive Search, Coveo, or Sitecore Search.
• Understanding of digital marketing concepts including personalization, segmentation, campaigns, analytics, A/B testing, and customer journey orchestration.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
• Exposure to Agile, SAFe, or large-scale delivery models.

Required Experience

• 16+ years of overall technology experience.
• 12+ years of experience in CMS / DXP implementation.
• 9+ years of hands-on Sitecore experience.
• 4+ years of experience in technical architecture or enterprise architecture roles.
• Must have led at least 2 to 3 large-scale Sitecore implementations.
• Must have practical experience with Sitecore Content Hub implementation or integration.
• Experience leading large teams across multiple geographies and workstreams.

Desired Qualifications: 

Architect – 12-15 years of experience   

Professional Qualification - B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA/MS

Good verbal and written communication skills
