With a solid position in Europe and connected to the rest of the world, Société Générale has over 117,000 members of staff in 60 countries and supports on a daily basis 25 million individual clients, businesses and institutional investors around the world.Tasks and responsibilities:You will help senior syndicate managers on the desk’s daily tasks with the following responsibilities:Assist the team syndicating MTNs as well as German Domestic Products such as Promissory Notes, Registered Bonds & Registered Covered BondsManage and updating pricing tools / database used by syndicate managersRun market analysis and statistics (monitoring the private placement activity)Prepare internal as well as external pitches towards issuers and investorsSupport the team in pre- and post-trade execution including drafting term sheets, liaising with Middle Office and Back OfficeResolve any settlement or legal issues to ensure timely settlement of dealsProfile requiredStudies & experience:Currently studying in a Grande Ecole / University Diploma in Business Administration, Master of Science in Management / FinanceCurrently be enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate programExperience in the Debt Capital Markets, specifically Syndication would be a plusStrong financial background and knowledge of the international bond marketLanguage skills:Fluent Business English requiredIdeally good German commandFrench would be a plusTechnical, operational & Soft skills:First class marketing skills - the ability to synthesize complex market arguments and communicate these effectivelyExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office required - Bloomberg knowledge would be helpfulGood quantitative skills - comfortable with all aspects of financial mathFinancial skills - able to interpret a balance sheet, income and cash flow statementAble to develop an understanding of derivatives and structured productsAbility to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needsSelf-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independentlySelf-confident, highly motivated, team spirit, well organizedStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to cope with multiple tasks from many different peopleAbility to complete accurate and reliable work under significant pressureWhy join usSociété Générale Germany is a multi-category bank offering every employee the possibility to have several careers in a professional career path.
