Deloitte Technology-US Specialist Deputy Manager, Technical Project and Program Management
As a PMO specialist in the Deloitte Technology-US (DT-US) Office of the CIO (OCIO) PMO team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of our major internal technology programs. You will assist in managing the end-to-end project lifecycle for large and complex projects/programs, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with the highest standard of quality. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
The DT-US PMO team is part of the Office of CIO (OCIO) and reports to the US OCIO Leader. The OCIO leads the development and implementation for technology strategy at Deloitte and drives the strategic initiatives to build market leading technology capabilities. DT-US powers IT for Deloitte’s 175K+ professionals while supporting business priorities and transformational initiatives in areas such as AI, Cloud, and Cyber.
Work you’ll do
As a DT-US PMO specialist, you will work directly with DT-US PMO Program Managers to leverage leading PMO practices to support successful technology implementations. Your responsibilities include:
Program & Project Support
- Assist in the development and maintenance of detailed program & project schedules.
- Support the identification and confirmation of necessary program/project resources.
- Help resolve resource availability conflicts across the program/project.
- Track program/project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Risk and Issue Management
- Assist in the identification and resolution of project risks and issues.
- Support the development of remediation plans and escalate issues as necessary.
Communication and Reporting
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports and dashboards.
- Ensure clear communication with project stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, and leadership.
Financial Management
- Assist in tracking project budgets and variances.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
Process Improvement
- Propose changes to project methodologies and framework.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the PMO.
- Promote best practices for continuous process improvement.
Team Collaboration
- Foster a collaborative environment within the project team.
- Support the activities of other PMO junior resources and offshore teams.
Required Qualifications:
· 8+ years of relevant experience in Project/Program Management working on IT initiatives utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches (PMBOK, Prince2, etc)
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficiency in MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and other project management tools
· Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, or a related field
· Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- This role would require professional to work from Deloitte Office – Hyderabad office as per business policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
· Familiarity with IT Financial Management Methodologies
· Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or ServiceNow
· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
