Key Responsibilities

Strategy
• Responsible for managing the delivery of regulatory reporting outputs in accordance with regulatory requirements. Works across Group, Country, Business and Change teams to improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of Capital metrics submitted to stakeholders. 
Business
• Fundamental inclination and understanding og Basel frameworks (Basel II, III and IV), Capital metrics computation. Basic understanding of Banking Products and their linkage to Risk Weighted Assets. Background on SQL and capability to manage voluminous data to perform analysis. 
Processes
• Ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of regulatory capital reports through error free processing of deliverables. Diligently follows robust control checks and governance within the reporting process to meet regulatory standards. Identifies opportunities for simplification and automation of processes to enhance reporting quality and sustainability. 
People & Talent
• Is a good team player with willingness to learn new processes, regulations and products. Quick to adapt to organizational values, sensitive to risks in the Regulatory environment. Eagerness to take on new initiatives both in individual capacity and as a team. Awareness to system and infra changes. Follows processes and controls. Escalates issues and challenges to higher ups in quick time. Shows willingness to connect with colleagues in the function and associated process contributing towards collaborative team environment.

Risk Management
• Identifies, manages, and escalates risks related to capital metrics and regulatory reporting. Supports responses to internal and external queries on regulatory capital and reporting outcomes. Provides analysis and support on capital-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate documentation.
Governance
• Monitor and ensure that appropriate Change governance is followed across all transformation initiatives.  Represent the function at the governance forums in place for tracking change initiatives and influence decisions in respect of the change backlog, prioritisation, choice of technology tools and the operating model. 
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders
• GPO/GPM, Capital CoE
• Group Regulatory Reporting – Head and Reporting Leads  
• Credit and Market Risk functions – Functional Heads and Leads
• Capital Technology and PSS – Head and Leads across PSS and Technology 
• Capital Change Management - Head and Leads across Capital Change
• Country Regulatory Reporting – CFO, Financial Controller and Country Leads

Skills and Experience

• Strong functional content across Basel framework (Basel II, III and IV); Capital metrics computation and methodologies, with key drivers
• Good understanding on Banking Products and able to co-relate to Risk Weighted Assets / Regulatory Reporting
• Candidate must be familiar with the use of SQL to interrogate and extract the data for analysis. 
• SAS and/or Python knowledge is an added benefit
• Candidate must be familiar with regulatory requirements for data management - BCBS 239 and PRA requirements
• Stakeholder engagement (across geographies) with strong Communication skills
• People leadership and management
• Technical skills like Advanced Excel (including macro) and Python / R
• Knowledge on Balance Sheet Management systems like Moody’s, Oracle, QRM

Qualifications

• MBA (Fin) or Master’s in finance / Accountancy / Economics or affiliated subjects; Undergraduate degree in Science / Engineering / Commerce.
• Chartered Accountant: Risk Management or related Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of Capital Regulatory Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Capital regulations and metrics; Proficient in analytics to drive deep understanding of Capital; Collaboration mindset; able to deliver solutions to improve BAU.
