Trainee Accountant
Study Full Time / Work Part Time
Ravensworth Open Cut
Ravensworth, NSW
Start your accounting career while you study — and get paid to do it.
This is more than a graduate pathway. It’s an opportunity to build practical accounting and commercial skills from day one, while completing your university degree with the support of an experienced team around you.
As a Trainee Accountant, reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience across accounting and commercial activities, providing transactional support and helping deliver accurate, timely financial information that supports real business decisions.
You’ll be trusted with meaningful work, exposed to how a commercial team operates, and given the opportunity to develop the technical, analytical and relationship skills that can set you up for a long-term career in accounting and commerce.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who is curious, switched-on and keen to learn — someone who wants to turn what they’re learning at university into practical experience.
You’ll be someone who:
- Builds positive relationships and communicates confidently with a range of people.
- Enjoys solving problems and finding better ways to do things.
- Takes initiative and looks for opportunities to improve.
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right.
- Is comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Can stay organised and focused when managing competing priorities.
- Is eager to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility.
Study. Work. Build your career.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a current first-year undergraduate studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
We’ll support you while you build your career, including:
- Financial assistance towards university fees and related study expenses.
- Paid study leave, so you can focus on your degree without putting your career on hold.
- Practical experience that complements your university learning.
- Opportunities for ongoing development and career progression.
What’s in it for you?
We invest in our people because we want them to build careers, not just fill roles.
You’ll have access to a comprehensive range of benefits, including:
- Competitive remuneration.
- Annual flexible performance payment.
- Clear career pathways.
- Health program reimbursement.
