Your work profile

1. Oracle Fusion Tax

• Provide hands-on technical and functional support for Oracle Fusion Tax.
• Configure and support tax regimes, jurisdictions, rates, statuses, and tax applicability.
• Develop and maintain tax configurations based on business and statutory requirements.
• Support tax determination and calculation across AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses, and Projects.
• Analyze and resolve tax calculation and tax determination issues.
• Support country-specific and business-specific tax requirements.

2. Tax Rules & Tax Determination

• Develop and maintain tax determination rules based on transaction and customer/supplier attributes.
• Configure tax conditions, rules, exemptions, exceptions, and applicability criteria.
• Support complex tax scenarios including recoverable and non-recoverable taxes.
• Analyze tax calculation results and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support changes to tax rules based on business and regulatory requirements.

3. Technical Development

• Develop technical solutions and enhancements supporting Oracle Fusion Tax requirements.
• Develop SQL queries for tax data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation.
• Support tax-related interfaces, extracts, and integrations.
• Work with REST/SOAP APIs, OIC, and file-based integrations where required.
• Analyze technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Support technical design and development activities for tax-related requirements.

4. Finance & Tax Integration

• Support integration of Oracle Tax with AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, and GL.
• Validate tax calculations across end-to-end business processes.
• Analyze the impact of Finance transactions on tax determination.
• Support tax accounting and integration with General Ledger.
• Troubleshoot issues across transaction, tax, accounting, integration, and reporting layers.

5. Tax Reporting & Reconciliation

• Develop and support tax-related reports and data extracts.
• Use BI Publisher, OTBI, and SQL for reporting and validation.
• Perform reconciliation between transactional tax data, tax reports, subledgers, and GL.
• Investigate tax reporting discrepancies and support resolution.
• Support Finance and Tax teams with statutory and management reporting requirements.

6. Functional Analysis & Solution Design

• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements related to taxation.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend appropriate Oracle standard functionality.
• Prepare functional/technical design documents, configuration documents, mappings, and process flows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Oracle Fusion Tax solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process improvement.

7. Testing & Implementation

• Prepare and execute unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and integration testing.
• Develop test scenarios covering tax calculation, tax determination, exemptions, and accounting.
• Validate tax results across AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, and GL.
• Analyze and resolve testing defects.
• Support data migration and validation of tax configurations and tax-related data.
• Assist with cutover, deployment, production validation, and post-go-live stabilization.

8. Production Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide L2/L3 support for Oracle Fusion Tax issues.
• Investigate tax configuration, calculation, integration, and reporting issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Oracle Support and technical teams for complex issues.
• Support month-end and year-end Finance activities involving taxation.
• Maintain issue logs, resolutions, and technical documentation.

9. Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Guide Consultants and junior team members on Oracle Tax development and support activities.
• Review technical deliverables, SQL queries, configurations, and test results.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on Oracle Fusion Tax.
• Contribute to reusable assets, templates, and Oracle Tax implementation best practices.
• Collaborate with Finance, Integration, Reporting, Data Migration, and other Oracle functional teams.

Key skills required

• 5–8 years of experience in Oracle ERP/Fusion technical or functional consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Tax.
• Experience with tax configuration, tax rules, tax determination, and tax calculations.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Good understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials, particularly AP, AR, Procurement, and GL.
• Experience with Oracle integrations, interfaces, and reporting.
• Experience in requirements analysis, development/configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Oracle EBS Tax / E-Business Tax.
• Experience with OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based integrations.
• Experience with BI Publisher and OTBI.
• Knowledge of Oracle Projects/PPM and Expenses.
• Experience with GST, VAT, Sales Tax, or Withholding Tax implementations.
• Experience with multi-country/global tax implementations.
• Oracle Fusion Financials certification.
• Big 4 / Global System Integrator experience.
