We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Payroll II to join our Payroll – Time Labor and Attendance. This role is located in Pune.
The Specialist, Global Time and Attendance, owns and manages end-to-end Time and Attendance operations for an assigned portfolio of countries. The role ensures accurate and timely time capture, absence administration, system performance, payroll integration, regulatory compliance, and consistent employee and manager experience. The Specialist partners with employees, managers, People Team Centers of Excellence (COEs), Payroll, Technology, Legal, Works Councils, and external vendors to resolve issues, implement changes, and strengthen controls.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Own end-to-end Time and Attendance operations for an assigned portfolio of countries, including time capture, work schedules, leave and absence administration, clock-in and clock-out records, exceptions, overtime, approvals, and manager or organizational updates.
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely Time and Attendance data is transferred to payroll and investigate discrepancies that may affect employee pay.
Manage employee and manager inquiries, service requests, and ticket queues within agreed service levels, with clear communication and timely resolution.
Monitor operational performance, transaction volumes, recurring issues, control effectiveness, and service trends; provide meaningful reporting and recommend corrective actions.
Interpret and apply country-specific labor regulations, collective or works council agreements, company policies, and control requirements in partnership with Legal, Employee Relations, Payroll, and relevant COEs.
Act as the primary operational contact for assigned countries and build effective relationships with employees, managers, People Business Partners, COEs, Payroll, Technology, and other stakeholders.
Manage external Time and Attendance vendors, including service performance, issue resolution, escalation, change delivery, and adherence to contractual commitments.
Partner with technical and functional teams to maintain system configuration and ensure Time and Attendance solutions operate in accordance with business requirements and local regulations.
Support system changes, implementations, integrations, and country onboarding through requirements gathering, impact assessment, functional testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, retesting, and deployment readiness.
Maintain process documentation, operating procedures, control evidence, audit records, and country-specific knowledge materials.
Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, automate, and strengthen Time and Attendance processes while balancing global standards with local requirements.
Lead issue resolution across functions, assess operational and compliance risks, escalate material concerns, and drive actions through closure.
Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders; coordinate work across the team and support employee performance and capability development where required.
Support internal and external audits and complete assigned remediation actions within agreed timelines.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Demonstrated experience managing Time and Attendance, time labor, workforce management, or absence processes across multiple countries.
Strong knowledge of Time and Attendance concepts, including work schedules, overtime, exceptions, approvals, leave administration, payroll interfaces, and employee data.
Hands-on experience with enterprise Time and Attendance or workforce management platforms; experience with SAP Fiori or comparable solutions is desirable.
Understanding of global payroll dependencies, data controls, audit requirements, and country-specific labor compliance.
Experience working with service providers or technology vendors and managing operational performance, escalations, and delivery commitments.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, high transaction volumes, and complex issues across countries and time zones.
Experience coordinating or supervising employees, distributing work, providing guidance, and building team capability.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and reporting skills, with close attention to detail and data accuracy.
Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence COEs, business leaders, functional partners, and vendors.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
