Mid/Senior Azure Platform Engineer (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks

• Designing and contributing to Azure and Google Cloud landing zone concepts, standards and implementation patterns;
• Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for cloud platform components and reusable modules;
• Defining platform standards, guardrails and reusable templates for product teams using cloud services;
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Enterprise workflows for automated platform delivery;
• Supporting API-based integrations between platform services, product systems and enterprise tooling;
• Contributing to secure, compliant and auditable cloud solutions in a regulated enterprise environment;
• Supporting product teams in adopting landing zone standards, platform capabilities and automation practices;
• Contributing to architecture and engineering decisions together with cloud, security and enterprise architecture teams;
• Supporting technical initiatives involving data platforms, integration services and modern digital capabilities;
• Supporting database and integration-related modernization topics, including Oracle, database migration scenarios and event-driven platforms such as Kafka;
• Analyzing technical issues, improve platform reliability and contribute to operational excellence;
• Documenting standards, implementation decisions and reusable platform patterns for engineering teams.

Your Profile

• Proven experience with designing and implementing Azure landing zone capabilities, platform services and reusable cloud patterns;
• Strong experience with developing and maintaining Terraform modules, configurations and standards for cloud platform delivery;
• Proven experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with a strong understanding of GitOps tools (e.g., Github Enterprise), container registries, Helm charts, and modern deployment workflows.;
• Good knowledge of designing and supporting API-based integrations between platform capabilities, product systems and enterprise tooling;
• Experience with Python scripting, automate platform engineering tasks, validations, integrations and operational workflows;
• Experience with containerized workloads and support deployment patterns for OpenShift/Kubernetes-based platforms;
• Experience with design and implementation Azure landing zone capabilities, platform services and reusable cloud patterns;
• Great communication skills as well as self-motivation;
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
• University degree in IT or relevant.

In the role as Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the definition, development and continuous improvement of cloud landing zones, platform standards and reusable engineering capabilities for Commerzbank.

You will work with Azure and Google Cloud environments and help establish secure, scalable and compliant foundations for products across the company. The role includes close collaboration with product teams, architecture, security, operations and engineering communities to define standards, improve automation and support reliable cloud adoption.
