As an Associate Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for supporting critical claims operational activities in the UK region, with a primary focus on administrative processes and associated actions. The role also includes, Data Review, Report collating, general projects as well starting on the path to handling of claims.
What you’ll be doing
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Support first notice of loss and new claim setup processes and also support with the general claim’s inbox
- Input & route financial transactions in accordance with authority levels to Claims Specialists and Managers
- Triage queries/ route calls from external contacts (e.g., brokers, insureds, claimants) to support the Claims teams
- Produce and maintain spreadsheets to enhance data presentation and data analysis
- Assist with low-level IT related issues from Claim Specialists and Claims Managers
- Complete regulatory and compliance claim reports on behalf of the Claims team
- Assist with coordination for audits
- Assist Claims staff with drafting reports and correspondence
- Participate in key initiatives and ad hoc projects as required
- Supporting claims, underwriting team and partners in connection with claim trends
- Liaison with Enterprise Shared Services where required, including monitoring progress, providing advice and guidance to ensure high customer service levels are maintained.
- Managing a portfolio of claims up to a pre-determined authority level. Pro-active engagement with all stakeholders with the aim of resolving claims promptly, fairly and with due expertise You will report to Assistant Claims Manager, Marine.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Ability to operate to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
- Possess an excellent eye for detail, including accuracy and ability to review, analyse and gauge an understanding of claims data to help us reflect on our performance and plan for the future.
- Capable analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good numerical and literacy skills (Minimum GCSE passes Mathematics and English)
- Good PC and systems skills (relevant AXA XL systems, MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Capable of working and collaborating within a virtual team environment with either local or remote supervision
- Eager to learn and focused on continuously improving administrative skills
- A keen interest in understanding the insurance industry and a drive to succeed
- Enthusiastic with the ability to adapt to change and new challenges.
