Assistant Counsel, Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs

We will rely on you to:

Advise stakeholders on contentious matters, including litigation, pre-litigation disputes, E&Os, commercial issues, and employment matters.
Manage external counsel on complex legal issues, including instructions, progress tracking, and review of outputs.
Support the end-to-end handling of E&O claims, including triage, investigation, resolution, closure, and trend analysis.
Assist with internal investigations, document preservation, document review, matter intake, reporting, and system maintenance.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and related documents.
Contribute to training, awareness, policy, and process development across the LCPA function.

What you need to have:

Recognised legal qualifications and admission to practice in Jordan, another Middle East jurisdiction, and/or a common law jurisdiction.
3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house role within the Middle East.
Strong experience handling contentious matters and litigation, particularly commercial and employment disputes.
Excellent drafting, organisational, and analytical skills.
The ability to exercise sound judgment and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and spoken English.

What makes you stand out:

Experience in professional liability insurance or claims-related work.
Regulatory advisory experience, ideally in insurance or financial services.
Arabic language skills.
