Join us as a Health and Safety Lead and play a pivotal role in enhancing Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) performance across our Legacy Assets. In this leadership role, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSEC management systems, assurance frameworks and risk management processes while coaching and developing teams across a geographically dispersed portfolio. Qualified HSEC professionals with experience in leadership, risk management, and stakeholder engagement are encouraged to submit an application.

 

The role in a nutshell:

 

In this role, the Health & Safety Lead provides strategic direction, coaching, and technical guidance to build HSEC capability across Legacy Assets. The role manages the execution of the Health & Safety strategy, supports sites in building sustainable systems and competencies, and ensures compliance obligations are met while promoting an effective risk management culture.

 

Working closely with site leadership, and operational teams, you will manage assurance activities, monitor risk and compliance performance, oversee continuous improvement initiatives and support operational leaders in implementing effective risk controls. You will also provide leadership and development for a small team of H&S professionals.

Travel: You will be required to travel approximately 15-25% of the time, including visits to operating sites across Canada and occasional travel to U.S. operations. Availability to support urgent operational matters outside regular business hours may occasionally be required.

Language: Advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.

Location: Toronto, ON

The expected base salary for this position is $100,000 - $138,000 annually, based on competencies, skills, and qualifications and aligned with internal equity. The incumbent will also be eligible to participate in a variable compensation plan (bonus) (note: payment of variable compensation is subject to the terms and conditions of the variable compensation plan and is not guaranteed).
