Summary of Role:
The Team Sales Lead will collaborate with Market Management (MM), Distribution, and Risk to build a robust pool of prospects and secure qualified meetings for the Direct Sales Team. This role is responsible for achieving monthly and quarterly appointment team targets and supporting Direct New Business generation.
A key focus of this position is advancing the telesales team's contribution by driving campaigns through Market Management, supporting team development, and elevating the lead generation function to the next level in line with academy objectives. The Team Sales Lead will also report on weekly and monthly team member individual KPIs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Market Management, Business Development Managers (BDMs), ACMA, and Risk to build prospect lists for team campaigns
- Successfully execute and monitor phone-based contact with prospect lists across the team
- Work closely with Market Management to maintain a campaigns diary, build Strategic Partnerships, and increase average generated premium
- Develop, feed, and maintain a team pipeline of "hot" call-backs, maintaining a record of all calls in CRM and prioritising these across the team
- Make qualified appointments for Direct Business Development Managers to visit prospects and support new and specialised products
- Build key broker relationships to drive Corporate Opportunities
- Develop a thorough knowledge of trade credit insurance and sales to advance into a BDM role for the team
- Develop Sales Apprenticeship training and field-based experience
- Work to obtain an accredited Level 4 Sales Apprenticeship

- Strong ability to tailor the sales approach based on external variables (e.g. marketing communications, bankruptcy, DM level)
- Capacity to engage in career development while still achieving individual appointment targets
- Good understanding of the product's benefits and their value to prospects
- Educated to Advanced/Graduate standard
- Positive attitude and the drive needed to succeed
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
