This role operates in a fast-paced trading environment and requires the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Success in the position depends on strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with colleagues, cross-functional departments, and external counterparties. The role demands disciplined adherence to industry, regulatory, and contractual deadlines to ensure the timely fulfillment of company obligations. It also requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to investigate and reconcile discrepancies, resolve counterparty issues, and proactively obtain the information necessary to support informed decision-making. In addition, the position requires a high degree of diligence, accuracy, and attention to detail to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks, including the Dodd-Frank Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and other relevant industry requirements, while maintaining the integrity of all reporting, monitoring, and control activities.


Activities

The Trade Support Analyst reports directly to the Natural Gas & LNG Trade Support Manager in Houston and is part of a local Trade Support team of 12 professionals, including Supervisors and Managers. As a member of a global Trade Support organization, the role requires close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders across Houston, Singapore, and Geneva to support trading activities and ensure operational excellence. The Trade Support function plays a critical role within Trading Operations, partnering closely with Operational Risk and Energy Data Management to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The position is also embedded within the broader Risk Control framework, working alongside the Middle Office to uphold operational integrity, strengthen controls, and support effective risk management practices.
