Risk Management Intern
Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We are looking for a Risk Regulatory Intern to join Euronext’s Athens Group Risk Unit. The position will be based in Athens and offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a well-established FinTech company where finance and technology meet.
You will primarily be responsible for:
Supporting the identification, assessment and reporting of non-financial risks across the Group, contributing to the development of robust risk management frameworks.
Drafting presentations and reports for relevant committees and senior management, providing clear and accurate updates on risk and regulatory projects.
Investigating the use of advanced tools, such as artificial intelligence, to enhance the review and analysis of policy and procedure documents.
Providing analytical support for the design and development of risk models and regulatory programmes.
Supporting the implementation of new risk and compliance initiatives, working in an agile and dynamic environment.
Your profile:
Degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, data science or a related field.
Proven academic knowledge or experience in Central Securities Depositories or capital markets is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with data visualisation or programming tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Power BI) is a plus.
Highly organised, responsible and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Positive attitude, proactive approach and a collaborative mindset.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Risk Management concerns all the actors in Euronext. Its aim is to be all-encompassing, and it must cover the entire activities, processes, and assets of the company. Euronext adopts the three lines of defense model as risk governance framework that splits responsibility for risk management across three functions: As the second line of defence, the Risk Management function provides the oversight and the tools, systems and advice necessary to support the Business and operational management (first line of defense) in identifying, managing and monitoring risks. The third line of defence is provided by the internal audit function.
