Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Fluent in both Japanese & English (written & spoken) is essential. French a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage and luxury hospitality, including significant senior leadership responsibility in fine dining restaurants, luxury hotels, or premium hospitality groups.
- Prior experience as Director or General Manager of a fine dining restaurant, ideally 1- or 2-Michelin-starred, or as F&B Manager / F&B Director within a luxury hotel with recognized fine dining outlets.
- Proven success in launching a fine dining restaurant or comparable luxury hospitality concept, including pre-opening planning, team set-up, service model definition, guest acquisition, retention strategy, and post-opening performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic plans, develop a distinctive hospitality vision, drive operational excellence, strengthen financial performance, and elevate the client experience.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various internal & external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive & innovative approach to challenges.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills essential for motivating & engaging a diverse team, coupled with excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Profound understanding of the luxury market, customer expectations, & service standards in Japan. A solid understanding of Japanese F&B customer behavior & the local Hospitality landscape, which is critical for localizing strategies.
- Multinational Experience: Prior experience working for multinational companies a plus.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
