Officer (Project Quality Control) - Fixed Term Contract

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Inspection and Testing - Conduct visual inspections, measurements and functional tests on civil, structural, mechanical and piping fabrications and construction works on and off site.
- Compliance verifications – ensure all construction, fabrication and manufacturing align with quality standards, specifications and procedures.
- Non-conformance management – identify, document and track defects and deviations. Submit NCR’s and coordinate corrective actions
- Document control – compile quality control plans and inspections check sheets. Record inspection logs, test data and quality control packages. Compile quality data books for audits and hand-overs to clients.
- Stakeholder coordination – interface with project managers, contractors, service providers and clients regarding quality performance, status and resolutions.
About you:
- A diploma in civil or mechanical engineering
- Certificates in construction management, quality control and inspection
- Trade test (Section 26D/ Section 13) will be an advantage.
- At least 5 – 8 years’ experience in a similar position in a construction project environment.
- Knowledge of HSEC systems and safety standards.
- Good communication skills – clear verbal and written reporting is essential.
- Analytical skills – strong problem-solving skills to perform root cause analysis on defects.
- Technically proficient – ability to read civil, structural and piping drawings. Experience and knowledge of mechanical process equipment.
- Medically Fit.
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport (willing to travel between sites).
