About the role:
Working within McArthur River Mines Metallurgy maintenance team, you will perform preventative maintenance of plant and mobile equipment in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations. As a maintenance Plant Fitter, you will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor’s, whilst working towards business objectives and strategies to achieve KPI’s.
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience within a mechanical fitting role – mining experience is highly desirable
- Someone who has a strong safety focus and has worked to strict safety protocols
- Ability to fix and maintain fixed plant mechanical equipment to minimise production downtime
- Execute daily maintenance tasks as directed by the daily maintenance schedule
- Diagnose and fix equipment faults at the direction of appropriate supervisors
- High attention to detail with safety at the forefront of the work
- Adhering to high standards of housekeeping within the workshop and the job site
What you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in installation and maintenance on fixed plant
- Ability to work within highly regulated safety environment
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar
- Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously
- Current Working at Heights, EWP, Confined Space tickets, Forklift, Dogman tickets
- Current non-slew crane ticket (Highly desired)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including X-Ray and Drug & Alcohol test
