Job Description:
The US Delta One desk provides clients with access to a broad range of equity and equity-index products, including total return swaps, equity/portfolio swaps, ETFs, index futures, and related equity derivatives. Partners closely with Sales, Structuring, Quantitative Analytics, Operations and other trading desks to provide competitive pricing, manage risk and deliver solutions to institutional clients.
The Analyst is a front-office trading role with exposure to real-time markets, client trading activity and risk management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop into a trader while gaining a strong understanding of equity markets, derivatives, trading strategies and the full trade lifecycle.
The Analyst Sales & Trading provides quality, efficient and specialized sales and trading support on multiple and diverse range of assignments. The Analyst Sales & Trading also Inputs trade details into trade capture systems as directed by the Sales or Trading desks. The position also ensures that all required economic attributes are captured to appropriately reflect the economic impact for which the trade was intended, positions are appropriately valued and allows for cash flows and risk to be accurately represented. The Analyst Sales and Trading ensures that all required counterparty details and trade control codes are captured to facilitate downstream operations and regulatory reporting processes accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the trading desk in pricing, executing and managing Delta One transactions across equities, ETFs, futures and equity derivatives.
- Monitor and manage trading-book risk, positions, exposures, financing and P&L under the guidance of senior traders.
- Work closely with Sales to respond to client requests for quotes (RFQs) and provide timely, competitive pricing and market color.
- Execute trades across exchanges, electronic venues and other execution channels while maintaining a strong focus on best execution and risk management.
- Develop an understanding of equity/index derivatives, total return swaps, financing, dividends, futures basis, ETF mechanics and index events.
- Monitor, analyze and manage corporate actions, index rebalances, dividends and other events that may impact the trading book.
- Work with senior traders to identify and implement hedging strategies and manage market exposures.
- Assist with trade booking, allocations, clearing and other aspects of the trade lifecycle, ensuring positions and risk are accurately represented.
- Develop and maintain analytical and trading tools that improve pricing, risk management, workflow efficiency and decision-making.
- Analyze trading and market data to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Risk, Product Control and other control functions to resolve issues and improve desk infrastructure.
- Take ownership of projects that improve the desk’s trading processes, automation and scalability.

- Performs maintenance to applicable trades upon instruction or notification from the Sales desks
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics
- Series 7 and 63
- 0-3 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in financial markets and trading, particularly equities and derivatives.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and make sound, timely decision in a fast-paced trading environment, particularly during periods of heightened market volatility, large client flows or significant index events.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with traders, sales and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Strong programming or data-analysis skills are required, particularly Python, VBA, SQL or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of equity derivatives, financial mathematics, market microstructure or trading is an advantage.
