Program overview:
Our 2027 Summer Internship Program runs for 9 weeks, starting on Monday, June 7th and finishing on Friday, August 6th. This internship is designed to give you a unique introduction to the Asset Management industry and offers valuable insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders. We are only accepting applications from students in their Junior Year, graduating in 2028.
Throughout the program you will:
Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business
Be assigned to a team where you will contribute to live projects and gain meaningful hands-on experience
Shadow experienced professionals and learn directly from leaders in the field
Have opportunities to network with colleagues and other interns, helping you build connections for your future career
This internship provides practical experience, skill development, and a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in the Asset Management sector.
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for proactive and adaptable individuals who display robust numerical and analytical skills and a strong work ethic. You should be curious about financial markets, comfortable working with data and digital tools, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication, a collaborative spirit, and a logical approach to solving problems are essential. If you are driven to grow and ready to contribute to dynamic investment teams, we encourage you to apply.
Required skills and capabilities:
A basic understanding of macroeconomic trends and investment concepts relevant to asset management.
A clear interest in financial markets and investing.
Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work with large or complex numerical datasets. Excellent attention to detail.
A growth mindset: a hunger to seek and receive feedback and to continuously challenge yourself to grow.
The ability to present ideas and insights confidently to a range of audiences.
The ability to approach business and investment challenges with logical thinking, using structured reasoning.
Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in coding languages is a potential advantage.
The team:
You will have the opportunity to work with one specialist group tied to a distinct market segment, some of which include:
Global Unconstrained Fixed Income: Dynamic, flexible investment across global fixed income markets.
Emerging Markets: Deep analysis of developing countries' debt, considering economic, political, and commodity factors.
US Multi Sector: Allocation across $-denominated markets, including credit, securitized, sovereign, and municipal bonds.
European Credit: Investment in corporate debt across the ratings spectrum.
Investment Product: Translates investment capabilities into clear client materials, analysis, and product solutions.
- Credit Research: Detailed company analysis to assess default risk and support portfolio decisions.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications we’re looking for:
You will be in your Junior Year, graduating in 2028. We no longer accept applications from Seniors considering further studies (i.e. Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Candidates should be available to start the internship on June 7th and work through August 6th, 2027. This will be onsite in the New York City office 3x a week on a hybrid working model. Housing not provided, but a stipend will be provided to those outside of the tristate area.
