2027 ISG Central Risk Industrial Placement Internship (London)

Placement and Duration The 12-month Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Risk Management Industrial Placement Internship Program is aimed at students who are required to complete a long-term internship as part of their studies or are in the final year.
The one-year internship, which is based in London and begins in June, offers you the opportunity to learn about a variety of product areas, while providing a clear understanding of how ISG (consisting of the Sales & Trading, Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Research Divisions) operates as a whole.
Following an initial period of training and induction, you will spend the remainder of your placement within the ISG Central Risk Team.
Interns are treated as full-time members of the team and work alongside experienced professionals at all levels.
Training Program All new Industrial Placement Interns participate in an orientation program covering the Firm's businesses, the transition from an academic setting to a corporate environment and the chance to establish a network throughout the Firm globally.
Interns then attend divisional training where they learn the core skills required to be successful on the job.
In addition, all Interns learn and network with peers, mentors and managers through group projects and other organised events.
Role & Responsibilities Roles are available within the ISG Central Risk Team which is responsible for developing, embedding and delivery of the Non-Financial Risk framework centrally across ISG businesses, including, operational, regulatory, supervision, data, cyber, model and trader mandate, and financial crimes risk.
As an in-business risk management team, we partner with our ISG business stakeholders, as well as the infrastructure groups and 2nd line control functions to establish and maintain an effective risk management program that is appropriately tailored to ISGs Non-Financial Risk profile.
Our team has a global presence with members located in New York, London, Mumbai, and Hong Kong.
Successful applicants will support one or more risk areas during the placement, including assisting with: Organising and running senior internal NFR forums Managing regulatory change initiatives and responding to regulatory requests Monitoring and identifying trends from employee conduct incidents and supporting associated training Supporting ISG third party risk management activity across the service lifecycle Partnering with internal control and support functions to resolve open items and progress projects in alignment with project milestones Salary is competitive with excellent benefits.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements You are an undergraduate studying for a degree in which a year in industry is part of your structured course syllabus.
You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
You analyse and interpret complex information quickly and accurately.
Study in a financial discipline is not essential, although you should have a strong aptitude for numbers.
