Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Senior Analyst to join our Procurement and Third Party Management (P&TPM) Operational Excellence Program Management team. This role is responsible for supporting and leading process transformation initiatives that drive operational efficiency, enhance service delivery, and strengthen business outcomes across the organization.

The successful candidate will apply process engineering expertise, project management discipline, and analytical problem-solving skills to identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows, and support the execution of strategic initiatives. This individual will work collaboratively with stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and partner organizations to deliver sustainable process improvements while maintaining strong risk and control standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong process improvement experience, project execution capabilities, commercial awareness, and the ability to navigate complex organizational environments. Success in this role requires effective communication, stakeholder management, critical thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Transformation Execution

• Lead and support process improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency, service enhancements, and measurable business outcomes.
• Apply process engineering methodologies to analyze current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design future-state solutions.
• Execute complex projects and workstreams while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and governance requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to document, optimize, and standardize processes and operating procedures.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve business performance through process simplification, automation, and operational efficiencies.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance customer, employee, and operational outcomes.
• Utilize available Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities to analyze data, identify insights, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of scalable and sustainable operating models that improve organizational effectiveness.

Stakeholder Partnership & Influence

• Build strong working relationships with business, operations, technology, and functional partners.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, define requirements, and develop practical solutions.
• Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations and executive-ready materials that effectively communicate project status, recommendations, risks, and opportunities.
• Support discussions and decision-making forums by providing data-driven analysis and recommendations.

Program & Project Management

• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and action trackers.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups to ensure successful project execution.
• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor progress against objectives and escalate concerns appropriately when necessary.

Risk Management & Governance

• Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational and project-related risks.
• Ensure initiatives are executed in compliance with Citi policies, regulatory requirements, and control expectations.
• Apply sound risk management practices and judgment in all aspects of project planning and execution.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and audit readiness across assigned initiatives.

Data Analysis & Communication

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support business decisions and process improvements.
• Synthesize complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Develop meaningful metrics, reporting, and dashboards to measure process performance and project outcomes.
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.

Continuous Improvement & Team Contribution

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Share best practices, lessons learned, and process improvement methodologies across teams.
• Support organizational priorities and special projects as required.
• Contribute positively to team objectives and foster collaborative working relationships.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in process engineering, business transformation, operational excellence, project management, financial planning and analysis, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement and transformation initiatives with measurable business results.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Broad understanding of end-to-end business processes and shared services operations is preferred.

Project Leadership & Execution

• Proven ability to independently manage projects or major workstreams from planning through implementation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and driving execution against defined objectives and timelines.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, assess priorities, and make sound recommendations.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus in a matrixed environment.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and reporting tools.

AI & Process Improvement

• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, automation technologies, advanced analytics, or process optimization techniques to improve operational performance.
• Understanding of continuous improvement frameworks and process engineering methodologies.

Risk & Control Awareness

• Strong understanding of operational risk management and control principles.
• Ability to identify risks, escalate issues appropriately, and support mitigation efforts while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical decision-making and professional conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

• Shared services, operations, transformation, consulting, or financial services experience preferred.
• Experience working in large, global, and highly matrixed organizations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.
