About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking  a Lead Control Management Officer to join the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Operations Control organization, the first line of risk management for CIB Operations. This team is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing operational and regulatory risks across a complex global environment while providing independent oversight to ensure controls are effective, risks are appropriately managed, and regulatory obligations are met.

This role supports the Trade & Transaction Reporting and Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting functions within CIB Operations Control. The position plays a critical role in overseeing regulatory obligations, governance, controls, new business initiatives, and risk management activities across multiple regulatory frameworks, including SEC, CFTC/NFA, FINRA, MSRB, and MiFID.

Working closely with partners across Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Data Management, Audit, and Transformation, this role is responsible for evaluating emerging risks, strengthening the control environment, and driving sustainable remediation of identified issues. The position provides independent challenge and oversight across a broad portfolio that includes regulatory reporting, operational risk management, control effectiveness, business transformation efforts, new business initiatives, and regulatory change management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a risk and control professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering across multiple functions, and helping ensure the organization maintains a strong and effective control framework while supporting key business priorities.
