The Role:

The Retail Segmentation Program is a priority transformation initiative within Canadian Banking, focused on translating the approved segmentation strategy into practical client propositions, employee experiences, operating requirements, and execution plans across products, channels, journeys, advice, servicing, support functions, communications, tools, and frontline routines.

As Senior Manager, Retail Segmentation Program, you will lead the day-to-day execution management of approved segmentation priorities, translating Director guidance into structured analysis, integrated workplans, business requirements, delivery tracking, and working-level recommendations.

This role works closely with all program teams and cross-functional partners in Technology, Digital, Analytics, Channels, Operations, Risk, Marketing, Product, and Business Lines to drive working-level alignment, clarify expected requirements and outcomes, structure options and implications, manage dependencies, surface risks, and prepare materials that enable Director-led recommendations and decisions.

Is this role right for you?  In this role you will:

• Lead the development of business design inputs for approved Retail Segmentation priorities, including segment propositions, journey requirements, operating implications, execution considerations, and supporting analysis for Director review.
• Own the integrated delivery plan for assigned segmentation workstreams, including workback schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, decision points, accountabilities, and status reporting.
• Drive day-to-day coordination across all program teams and multiple segmentation workstreams, including preparing workshops, facilitating working sessions, aligning contributors on expected requirements and outcomes, capturing decisions, following up on actions, and escalating issues requiring Director support.
• Independently structure and synthesize client data, frontline feedback, performance trends, market practices, and business insights into options, implications, and recommended paths forward for Director review.
• Lead working-level inputs for selected segment journeys by documenting current-state insights, future-state requirements, implementation considerations, adoption risks, and open decisions for review with the Director and cross-functional partners.
• Develop analysis, options, implications, governance updates, decision logs, and executive-ready draft materials that clearly identify required decisions, risks, trade-offs, and proposed next steps.
• Own the coordination and quality of business product ownership inputs for segmentation capabilities, including requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog items, MVP scope documentation, enhancement requests, and related action logs.
• Drive working-level alignment with program teams and partners across Technology, Digital, Analytics, Channels, Operations, Risk, Marketing, Product, and Business Lines to clarify requirements, confirm expected outcomes, resolve delivery questions, validate proposed solutions, and escalate material issues or trade-offs for Director review.
• Lead coordination of go-to-market readiness inputs for assigned initiatives, including launch checklists, channel impacts, frontline enablement needs, communications inputs, training considerations, operational readiness items, and adoption tracking.
• Support program-wide change management by coordinating change impacts across workstreams, identifying stakeholder readiness needs, supporting communications and engagement inputs, tracking adoption considerations, and ensuring change-related requirements are built into delivery plans.
• Own day-to-day tracking of progress, dependencies, risks, actions, benefits, adoption indicators, client and employee outcomes, and operational measures, identifying gaps and proposing actions for Director review.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics, analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in retail banking, client experience, strategy, transformation, operations, analytics, channels, or related financial services roles.
• Strong understanding of retail banking, client journeys, channels, advice models, servicing, and frontline operating practices.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic direction into integrated workplans, business requirements, structured analysis, implementation considerations, measurable tracking, and practical recommendations for senior review.
• Experience leading day-to-day execution of complex cross-functional initiatives, including workstream management, issue resolution, stakeholder alignment, dependency management, and executive-level reporting.
• Experience using client insights, data, financial outcomes, performance trends, employee feedback, and market practices to develop recommendations and support delivery decisions.
• Experience coordinating business product ownership activities, including requirements quality, backlog coordination, user stories, acceptance criteria, solution validation, prioritization inputs, and implementation readiness.
• Experience supporting change management activities for cross-functional programs, including change impact assessment, stakeholder readiness, communications inputs, engagement support, adoption tracking, and integration of change requirements into delivery plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and bring structure to complex business questions.
  Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior stakeholders, business lines, and cross-functional teams.
• Results-oriented, client-centric, collaborative, and comfortable leading execution detail, structuring ambiguous problems, influencing cross-functional partners, and escalating practical recommendations for senior review.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
