Skills and CompetenciesEducationResponsibilitiesMoody's Ratings Risk Management is hiring a Senior Vice President – 2nd Line Controls Assurance, reporting to the MR Chief Risk Officer, to provide strategic leadership of its second line Controls Assurance Program and play a central role in MR's aligned assurance model. The SVP will establish the program's direction, governance, methodology, risk-based coverage strategy, quality expectations, and continuous improvement agenda. Working with first line control testing and quality assurance teams, other second line assurance functions, and Internal Audit as the third line, the SVP will promote coordinated assurance coverage, appropriate reliance, clear accountability, and identification of potential gaps or unnecessary duplication, while preserving the independence and distinct responsibilities of each line. The Controls Assurance Team leader will report to the SVP and remain accountable for execution of the approved Assurance Plan and day-to-day management of the team. Through this model, the SVP will provide senior management and governance bodies with independent, risk-based assurance on the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and an integrated view of the control environment.About the TeamThe Moody's Ratings Risk Management function provides independent second line oversight of the risks arising from MR's activities and supports effective risk governance, credible challenge, and risk-informed decision-making. The function works with first line businesses and other control functions while preserving the independence required of the second line. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $198,300.00 - $287,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
