Job Summary

• The ClB Coverage COO KYC Policy Implementation (PI) team is responsible on behalf of the Global Process Owner for the implementation of Group and local Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements into First Line processes. 

• The role holder is responsible for implementing local CDD requirements across the six GCNA markets of Hong Kong, China, Macau, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. In addition, the role involves as required implementation of Group policy requirements and participation in transformation projects.

Job Responsibilities

• The role holder is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of local CDD requirements in GCNA, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, adherence to process change governance, adequacy of system functionalities, Line of Business procedures and controls. They also support the effective implementation in region to changes in Group requirements.
• The role is critical in ensuring continuity to the license to operate from a risk and compliance perspective while supporting effective Front Line and Client experience and operationally efficient business processes.
• The role holder will also be involved as required in the implementation of Group requirements, as well as in transformation programmes as Subject Matter Expert.  
Under the direction of the Regional PI Lead, Asia:
• Enable the Business to understand the nature, purpose and impact of changes in regulatory requirements;
• Approach implementation of changes from a Business, Client, and RM lens
• Own the end-to-end change process of local CDD requirements, from initial CFCC engagement to business consultation, implementation and reporting;
• Perform Client Lifecycle Impact Assessment (“CLIA”) related to local Country Addenda changes; 
• Drive implementation across processes, systems and controls in conjunctions with Business Service Delivery and Product Owners;
• Deliver training and communications;
• Facilitate ongoing improvement to the local CDD processes;
• Support the effective implementation in region of changes to Group CDD requirements
• Channel regional user feedback to respective topic owners
• Own specific CDD topics as an extension of duties and a means to grow skillset and visibility
• Provide subject matter expertise to transformation programmes as required
• Own specific internal process improvements

Job Requirements

• Higher education degree (preferred master’s degree or above)
• Certification in Financial Crime subject matter desirable (e.g. ICA, ACAMS)
• At least 8-10 years of proven experience in governance, risk and controls related to regulatory compliance activities in financial services
• Demonstrable experience in dealing in policy matters across either formulation, interpretation or implementation
• Direct experience in CDD subject matter domain a clear advantage but not a pre-requisite
• Experience in participating in transformation projects of a material scale
• Relevant experience in dealing with a diverse group of stakeholders across functions and geographies
• Ability to work autonomously to strict timelines, to report progress and escalate issues.
• Intellectual curiosity, ability, and willingness to learn.
• Strong interpersonal skills supporting the ability to create effective work relationships across a diverse range of functions and geographies;
• Proactive and positive with the ability to make good decisions, and to use independent judgement;

• Language skills required : Chinese and English (both written and spoken)
