Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

Our Issuance team is responsible for structuring trades between multiple trading platforms and ensures funding and liquidity for Deutsche Bank’s clients across the bank. Fixed Income & Currencies brings together a top-ranked institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets. The Fixed Income & Currencies business enables Deutsche Bank to respond to increasing automation, regulatory expectations and client demand for standardization and transparency in execution across fixed income, currency, and emerging markets.

Our engineers work on a diverse range of solutions using cutting-edge technology every day, including our award-winning platforms like Autobahn, Fabric, Glue, and more.

Our Technology strategy is designed to build new revenue streams and develop innovative ideas which produce a new competitive advantage for the Bank, whilst also fixing our foundations and focusing on the importance of stability and risk management.  FIC Technology understands the client’s needs and has a robust strategy and innovative approach to deliver.

Responsibilities:

• We want to automate as much as possible with a focus on deployments and processes
• We will work in an Agile framework
• ITIL terms are quite used
• Collaboration with all the other areas (e.g.BA, QA, SM, PO) – we find it very important for automation;
• A big Bank needs a lot of integration skills
• We will help you get started fast and we love to be helped also
• Software fails –> so extensive troubleshooting experience will surely help
• Speak Up if you something can be improved
• Have the end-user mindset when building your cool staff.
• Can you manage what you build?
• IT Passionate -> we talk a lot about the new “magic”
• We are in the knowledge sharing mode here
• SDLC – we use this quite extensively

Skills

• Experience with high-end complex solutions and mission-critical (99.9% uptime) applications
• Proven/Very good experience with: Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Ansible, Helm, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube or maybe something similar
• Good Linux know-how
• You should be very familiar with the CI/CD pipelines
• Some user experience with JIRA Scrum/Kanban - Agile workflow methodologies, Confluence will be nice
• Shell scripting, Python, Perl, Groovy
• Container management- you should have some very good experience: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
• API Management
• DBMS/SQL (Oracle) – we are not searching for a DBA ;).
• Application layer protocols (TLS/SSL, HTTP(S), DNS, etc)
• You should have quite a lot of troubleshooting experience - application and infrastructure level
• Google Cloud Platform knowledge will surely be highly appreciated – the desire to learn is also very good;
