Context & Environment

Petroleum downstream is partially deregulated in Ghana with the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and Bulk Distribution Companies BDCs) as the key players on the Supply side. The demand side has various players including  TotalEnergies Ghana Plc, Ghana Oil, VIVO and Star Oil with other independents. Key supply logistics infrastructure is both owned by  Government and the BDC's. Lubricants are locally blended at Tema Lube Oil Company which is a JV with TEMG, VIVO, GOIL and SSNIT. However, imports of lubricants are also permitted by law. The supply mix for Ghana is in a fluid state with its inherent opportunity and threats

Activities

Responsible to Transport Manager for the Safe Operation of BRVs and the maintenance of PATROM Standards. 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Training and Supervision of truck drivers(BRV/Lube trucks) in accordance with the safety management guidelines (PATROM)

• Monitor and track BRV safety/efficiency and driver performance in order to minimize incidents
• Ensure all activities within the affiliate is conducted in compliance with GM-MS-SLOO1
• Ensure the Road Risk assessment is conducted, updated and communicated to the Transporters for the safe delivery of Petroleum products
• Prepare accurate monthly reports on a timely basis for Driver and Truck performance tracking
• Key Focus Person on BRV calibrations, Bunkering activities and product loss analysis at customer sites

• Ensure the maintenance of all data for digital tools. ie; Mix telematics, Track & Trace, etc

• Maintain and report on inventory of truck seals

• Provide OBC data analysis on BRVS/Trucks and make recommendations to Supervisor for the effectiveness of installed OBCs

• Set and monitor KPIs for the Transport unit, review and make recommendation to supervisor
• Assist Transport Safety Manager to Conduct Toolbox meetings with BRV Drivers
• Perform investigation of product loss as directed by Distribution Manager
• Any other job that will be assigned by the Transport Safety Manager/ Distribution Manager
• To liaise with RSL to oversee the invariant set-up of Mix telematics to ensure compliance with PATROM requirements. He shall Be the Key Focus person for all OBC/Dashcam for TEMGPLC.

Candidate Profile

Must have a good First Degree preferably in Engineering or related filed

Must be computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc)

Must have good technical and Product knowledge in the transportation of hazardous goods

Must have at least 2 years' experience in Occupational safety

Good knowledge of the petroleum down stream sector

Good interpersonal skills

A good communicator
