Senior Manager - AML Compliance

senior · Risk & Compliance

Job Requisition ID: 41947

Join Deloitte's AML team as a Senior Manager in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide and help shape how we manage financial crime risk in a complex professional services environment.

What will your typical day look like?

This is a hands-on leadership role with broad oversight across AML operations and framework uplift. You'll help set priorities for the team, oversee workflow across client risk assessment, entity mapping, screening and due diligence, and stay close to higher-risk matters where sound judgement really counts.

A big part of the role is strengthening how the function runs and evolves. That includes quality assurance, compliance monitoring, policy and procedure enhancement, enterprise risk assessment inputs, training requirements, and clear governance reporting that supports confident decision-making by senior stakeholders.

Working closely with the AML Compliance Officer, onshore subject-matter experts and offshore CDD analysts, you'll balance strategic leadership with operational detail. The pace can shift quickly, especially during periods of sustained demand, so success in this role comes from being practical, calm and ready to step in where needed.

About the team

Deloitte's AML team plays a critical role in helping the firm meet its AML/CTF obligations and make informed, risk-based decisions about the clients and matters we take on. The team works across customer due diligence, sanctions and politically exposed person screening, unusual activity assessment, suspicious matter reporting, framework stewardship and regulatory engagement. It's a team where strong judgement, clear standards and close collaboration all matter.
