Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Weekly rotating Day & Back shifts

Days- 0800-1645 (Mon-Thurs), 0800-1300 Fridays

Back- 12noon-10pm Mon-Thurs

End date to Apply: 24th September

Salary of £35248.72 + shift allowance of 12.5% and, a competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

About the Role

• As an Operator within our team at Leven, Scotland, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations are carried out to the highest standard and in adherence to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, at all times.

• In this role you will have the chance to create a positive change by being aware of loss within the area, actively working at all times to reduce and eliminate waste.

• You will be accountable for delivering effective shift handovers, operating packaging machine processes following defined standard operating procedures for machine operation and set up time reduction. You will perform autonomous maintenance tasks including clean, inspect & lubricate and respond to issues that may arise.

• This role involves working closely with team leader and production improvement leader to drive performance and improvement initiatives on your line!

About You 

• We are looking for someone who is a great teammate, but also able to take initiative when needed and make effective decisions, while showing your excellent interpersonal skills, to have the ambition and aim to support team leaders and possibly aspire to become a Team Leader of the future. 

• You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence, and thrive in situations where you can solve problems and push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities.

• Validated knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles would be beneficial!
