AML Operation Support (6-Month Contract)

The role will primarily focus on screening, monitoring, and reviewing cases within the system. The successful candidate will assess information, identify exceptions, and make approval or rejection decisions based on established guidelines and procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidence in working with systems, and the ability to consistently follow operational and compliance processes.
This is a 6-month contract position offered under an agency contract. The successful candidate will be employed by a third-party employment agency and assigned to work directly with our team, supporting day-to-day AML operations and compliance activities.
You'll be responsible for:
- Review and screen customer, policy, and transaction records through designated systems.
- Monitor and assess alerts generated from AML and sanctions screening tools.
- Review cases and make approval or rejection decisions based on established guidelines and procedures.
- Escalate high-risk, suspicious, or exception cases to the relevant stakeholders for further review.
- Ensure case reviews are completed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of reviews and decisions.
- Follow AML, compliance, and operational procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Support periodic reviews, data validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve case-related queries and obtain required information.
Important to your success:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in AML/KYC, Compliance, Banking Operations, Insurance Operations, Financial Services, or related fields.
- Experience in banking, insurance, financial services, compliance, risk, or operations.
- Familiarity with AML monitoring and case management systems.
- Ability to review cases, assess information, and make approval or rejection decisions based on established guidelines and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies, exceptions, or potential risks.
- Able to follow processes accurately while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is an added advantage.
