Job Description

What is the Opportunity?


As part of the Internal Audit, Financial Crimes & Anti-Money Laundering, the Auditor will provide independent and objective evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the Financial Crimes & Anti-Money Laundering (FC& AML) practices for business lines within Canada.

The ideal candidate will support the Internal Audit, Financial Crimes Canadian team with effective audit execution and issue remediation on all Financial Crimes & AML matters and will be able to work in a dynamically changing environment and act as a trusted advisor to the business.

What will you do?


· Be part of a team of professional auditors responsible for audits with a focus on AML/Compliance and other support functions in Canada.  
· Lead by example by collaborating with teams across IA to effectively plan and execute audits.
· Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders ensuring they get maximum value from engagement work.
· Coordinate and escalate regional issues to the Director of Internal Audit, Financial Crimes & AML Centre of Excellence and other regional leads with the IA escalation model.
· Assist with the validation of regulatory matters issued by relevant regulatory bodies
· Assist in presenting regulatory validation approaches and results to IA Senior Management, including preparation of materials
· Work together with the Senior Manager and Director for Internal Audit, Financial Crimes & AML COE to shift the capabilities of team members towards a predictive insight driven organization.


What do you need to succeed?
Must-Haves

. Bachelor degree in finance/commerce and/or relevant field
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution
· Knowledge of the Canadian regulations with respect to PCMLTFA/R AML requirements

· Internal Audit/Regulatory/Compliance experience
· Experience in assisting integrated business audits with technology auditors
· Experience in incorporating data analytics into the traditional audit programs and continuous auditing

Nice-to-Haves:
· MBA, accounting designation and/or CFA

· ACAMS certification or studying towards ACAMS certification
· Interest in pursuing a career in Risk Management
· Industry knowledge and experience
