The Communications Department (COM) is the Fund’s strategic center for communications. It develops and coordinates the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) external and internal communications strategy, shapes the IMF's key messages, advises IMF Management and staff on how best to convey key messages, and monitors and responds to what people outside the IMF say about the institution and its activity.

The Policy Communications Division (COMPC) works with other COM divisions and the Front Office to develop and disseminate IMF messages to a variety of audiences, including policymakers, academics, media, civil society, students, and the educated lay public. The Division creates and publishes content on several platforms: IMF Blog, Finance & Development (F&D) Magazine, Country Focus, Weekend Read newsletter, the IMF's Factsheet Series, as well as multimedia products such as podcasts and videos and social media products and campaigns. COMPC also monitors and assesses the impact of products, using data analytics.

Job Summary

Transforms charts, graphs, and data from IMF research and analytical products into clear, compelling visual communications assets, and creates original infographics and visual concepts that make complex economic and policy issues accessible to diverse audiences. Also supports graphic design, audience analytics, performance measurement, and innovation in digital production across COMPC platforms. We expect applicants to have intellectual curiosity about economics, finance, public policy, and international affairs, and a strong interest in the IMF’s role and mandate.
