The Ops Support Specialist 4 is responsible for providing operational support across a broad range of card and payment services, including credit card transactions and services, card settlement and reconciliation, transaction reversals, payment processing, rewards analysis, MIS reporting, card delivery coordination, and vendor management. The role serves as a key liaison between operations teams, relationship managers, project managers, custodians, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

The primary objective of this position is to provide effective day-to-day operations support while ensuring adherence to Citi's operational infrastructure, policies, controls, and processes.

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Non Officer, Ops Support Specialist - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Operations Support - C04) based in Chennai, India. In this role, you’re expected to:

• Execute complex operational activities in accordance with established procedures, conducting detailed investigations and research to resolve issues and exceptions.
• Manage credit card transaction processing, settlement and reconciliation activities, payment handling, and transaction reversals with relevant stakeholders.
• Support rewards program operations, including rewards analysis, reporting, and MIS preparation.
• Coordinate card production and delivery activities, working closely with card vendors and logistics partners to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned processes and provide guidance and support to team members.
• Assist in onboarding and training new employees, allocate work where required, and support team productivity and service standards.
• Conduct operational analysis, workflow monitoring, and process reviews to identify improvement opportunities and enhance efficiency.
• Support a wide range of products and services while ensuring adherence to service level agreements and operational standards.
• Escalate critical issues, risks, and operational concerns to senior management in a timely manner and support initiatives that mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of operational activities.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and control requirements while adhering to Citi's risk and governance framework.
• Exercise sound judgment in assessing risks, safeguarding client and company assets, and ensuring transparency in the management and reporting of operational and control issues.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

•  0-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in a business office or operational environment
• Proficient computer and math skills with a focus on complex databases and spreadsheets
• Demonstrates technical and administrative expertise
• Consistently demonstrates attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge of activities, policies, and procedures of a basic work area
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
