Regardless of placement, you'll gain experience supporting business initiatives, process improvements, project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration while building strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

The National Office supports the strategic and operational priorities of Commercial Banking through business initiatives, process transformation, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration. Our teams partner across the Bank to identify opportunities, improve how we work, and deliver initiatives that strengthen business performance and the client experience. 

Is this role right for you?  

With Aspire, you’ll gain early exposure to Commercial Banking by working on meaningful projects and learning from experienced professionals. You’ll have opportunities to: 

• Support business initiatives and transformation projects through research, analysis, project coordination, and development of presentations and project plans. 

• Gather and synthesize information to identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and support informed decision-making. 

• Help review and improve processes that enhance operational efficiency, business performance, and the client experience. 

• Track project activities, milestones, risks, and deliverables to support effective execution. 

• Build strong relationships and collaborate with partners across Commercial Banking and the broader Bank. 

• Communicate findings, progress, and recommendations clearly to project teams and stakeholders. 

• Ensure the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture are considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Key requirements: 

• You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field 

• You have strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• You have good presentation skills and consistently demonstrate professionalism 

• You have a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking
