If you want to strengthen your credit, financial analysis, and business acumen, this opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to a team that supports Canadian businesses through specialized financing solutions and strategic transactions. You'll gain experience analyzing businesses, assessing risk, supporting underwriting activities, and developing an understanding of how capital solutions help companies pursue growth, expansion, acquisitions, and other strategic objectives.

Support Relationship Managers in proactively acquiring new clients by applying a disciplined sales approach, gaining a deep understanding of client needs, and assisting throughout the loan process.

Strengthen client relationships by expanding your knowledge of our clients’ businesses and the industries in which they operate, and by building a robust network with partners both within Roynat and across Scotiabank.

Take initiative in underwriting requirements by following up with clients, performing comprehensive financial analysis, preparing investment summaries, and identifying strategies to mitigate risk.

Facilitate seamless client interactions with Roynat by delivering a full range of products and services, ensuring efficient turnaround times and a client-focused experience.

Foster a client-focused culture by consistently demonstrating adaptability, energy, and a personable approach in all client interactions.

Ensure that the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture are considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Key requirements:

You are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Advanced coursework in corporate finance, valuation, financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, or investment analysis is considered an asset

You have strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

You have good presentation skills and consistently demonstrate professionalism

You have a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking
