A Day in the Life
As a Senior Key Account Manager for the Consumer Products Division (CPD) in Romania, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic clients and shaping how our brands connect with consumers. Reporting to the Channel Leader, you will own the commercial relationship and drive mutual, sustainable growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish L’Oréal as the top partner in the beauty category. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales & Market Share Growth: Own the P&L for your designated clients; design, negotiate, and execute annual joint business plans to achieve sales growth, market share gains, and profit targets.
- Relationship & Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with key retail stakeholders, buyers, and category managers, aligning customer strategies with L’Oréal counterparts.
- Omnichannel & Digital Shelf Excellence: Lead promotional activities, major product launches, and trade marketing campaigns; deliver best-in-class execution on the digital shelf (optimizing availability, content, search placement, and ratings/ reviews).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Analytics: Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, CatMan, and Marketing to ensure accurate sales forecasting (sell-in/ sell-out) and seamless operational execution, while continuously monitoring performance metrics to make data-driven adjustments.
We Are Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, result-driven commercial professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong analytical mindset. To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:
- Commercial & Account Mastery: Proven experience in commercial roles within the FMCG sector, with a strong track record in key account management, negotiation, or category management.
- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Strong experience in P&L management, budgeting, and utilizing market insights and commercial KPIs to make data-driven decisions.
- Digital & Retail Fluency: Solid understanding of modern trade dynamics, e-commerce shelf optimization, and activation strategies across both physical and digital channels.
- Stakeholder Influence & Collaboration: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to inspire teamwork and build trust with senior retail partners.
- Education & Languages: A university degree (preferably in Economics, Business, or a Technical field) and fluency in both Romanian and English. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
