Job Description

Purpose of the role

To generate revenue and promote the bank's diverse product and service offerings to various customer segments. 

Accountabilities

• Identification of potential customers, analysing their needs and preferences, and staying abreast of emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
• Creation of detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their demographics, financial habits, and pain points to tailor sales approaches and product recommendations.
• Relationship management of potential and existing customer relations through the execution of high-quality customer support, by responding to queries and resolving issues, gaining their customer trust, and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
• Understanding of the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various banking products and services offered. Understanding of the key features, benefits, risks, enhancements, and regulatory requirements of new and existing banking products, and communicate insights clearly to potential customers to address their financial needs.
• Development of compelling sales pitches and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the bank's offerings to convert leads into customers, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
• Collection and analysis of customer feedback on various products, services, and overall experience, to support the development of reports that communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders, to inform product development and sales strategies.
• Monitoring of lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other relevant metrics to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

Join us as a Global Transaction Banking Sales, based in Dubai, where you’ll work directly with clients across the Middle East to deliver practical solutions across trade and working capital, liquidity, payments, and cash management.

You’ll be part of a small, high-performing regional team working closely with senior colleagues, Coverage teams and Product partners to support client engagements, identify opportunities and help deliver solutions that meet client needs. The role offers broad exposure across Financial Institution and Corporate clients, providing the opportunity to gain experience across multiple transaction banking products and some of the fastest-growing trade and treasury corridors globally.

The role sits close to Coverage and Product, giving you regular exposure to client conversations and a direct role in shaping solutions that fit client needs, from trade finance structures to cash centralisation and payment setups.

Alongside client engagement, you’ll support deals from early discussions through to delivery, working with Product, Risk, Legal, and Operations to shape solutions and keep transactions moving. You’ll also stay close to onboarding and implementation, helping clients transition smoothly onto bank systems, particularly for more complex trade and cash setups.

This role suits someone at an early stage in their transaction banking sales career who enjoys client interaction and wants to build commercial judgement, credit awareness, and execution skills.

To be successful in this Global Transaction Banking Sales role, you’ll bring:

• 5-10 years of experience in transaction banking, trade finance, cash management, liquidity solutions, or corporate banking, with strong exposure to Transaction banking solutions
• A solid grounding in cash management (including pitches), trade products and working capital solutions, transactional FX and channels, alongside an emerging ability to assess the commercial and risk implications of these offerings. 
• Familiarity with corporate treasury practices, trade documentation, and the flow of cross-border transactions
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to drive tasks and follow through to completion
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across Product, Coverage, Risk, Legal and Operations teams
• An understanding of UAE regulatory expectations, with exposure to trade corridors across the Middle East and Asia is a plus
• A degree-level education, with additional qualifications such as CDCS, CITF, CFA, or ACI considered a plus

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience working with top tier Financial Institutions and/or Corporate Banking clients in the Middle East
• Comfort working with clients across different cultures and time zones, especially in the Middle East and Asia
• Attention to detail when handling documentation, onboarding steps, pricing deals and deal follow-through
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Curiosity, commercial awareness and a willingness to learn
• A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance client outcomes
