senior · Consulting
Mission
The Senior Transversal Business Analyst will support a multi-year banking transformation programme involving the continued implementation of Murex, migration of Asian banking activities into the Bank's strategic core banking platform, migration of Treasury activities into Murex, and insourcing / transformation of Operations activities currently delivered through BPO arrangements in Asia.
The role operates across individual programme workstreams and provides an end-to-end business perspective, ensuring that business processes, operating models, data, controls and system responsibilities remain coherent across Murex, Core Banking, Operations, Finance, Risk and other impacted functions.
The Transversal BA will focus particularly on dependencies and functional boundaries between projects and systems, identifying gaps that may not be visible within individual project workstreams.
The role requires a strong combination of business analysis, banking product and process knowledge, business architecture and transformation experience, with particular exposure to Treasury, FX and FX Options environments.
Main responsibilities
- End-to-End Business Analysis: Provide a holistic, end-to-end process view across functions and systems, closing gaps and maintaining critical scenarios.
- Cross-Programme Dependency Management: Map and manage inter-stream dependencies, escalate conflicts, and optimize change sequencing.
- Target Operating Model: Define a future operating model with clear responsibilities and sourcing aligned to Murex and Core Banking.
- Product and Business Process Analysis: Specify front-to-back processing and lifecycles for Treasury products, filtering out legacy-only practices.
- Systems and Functional Architecture: Assign system-of-records and responsibilities, remove overlaps, and design target interactions and data flows.
- Data and Migration: Set data ownership and golden sources, define migration rules, and reconcile/validate data across Murex and Core Banking.
- Controls and Reconciliations: Refresh the control framework, define future reconciliations, automate manual controls, and formalize exceptions.
- Integration and Business Events: Catalogue interfaces and events, define information flows and timing, and set failure and recovery requirements.
- Testing and Business Acceptance: Ensure end-to-end scenario coverage with UAT criteria, analyze cross-boundary defects, and trace to readiness.
- Cutover and Business Readiness: Coordinate integrated cutover, validate and reconcile during go-live, apply go/no-go, and prepare operations.
Your Profile
The successful candidate is likely to be a senior Business Analyst / Lead Business Analyst with approximately 8–15+ years of relevant banking experience, although depth and breadth of experience are more important than years alone.
The ideal profile combines:
Treasury / FX product knowledge + Operations knowledge + Murex experience + transformation/business architecture skills.
The role is not intended to replace detailed Murex or Core Banking Business Analysts. Instead, the Transversal BA ensures that the solutions designed by individual streams work together as a coherent end-to-end banking operating model.
