Fraud & Compliance Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a Fraud & Compliance Analyst to join our international team in Portugal.

In this role, you will help identify fraud risks, analyze operational incidents, investigate suspicious activities, monitor trends, and support compliance activities across the business. You will work closely with different teams to strengthen controls, reduce risks, and support a strong compliance culture. The role also involves data analysis, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze fraud cases, operational incidents, and business data to identify risks and trends.
Support fraud prevention and compliance initiatives across the organization.
Conduct investigations and help identify root causes of incidents.
Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics (KPIs).
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
Work with different teams to strengthen controls and implement corrective actions.
Support compliance quality assurance activities and process improvements.
Use data analytics tools to identify patterns and potential risks.
Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly and in alignment with our standards for data governance, security and ethical uses.

What We're Looking For

2-3 years of experience in:

Fraud Prevention
Fraud Analysis
Fraud Investigation
Compliance
Risk Management
Financial Crime or Anti-Corruption

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience analyzing data and identifying trends.
Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
Ability to communicate findings clearly to different stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Experience working in an international environment is an advantage.
Fluent English is required.

Nice to Have

Experience in insurance, banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
Knowledge of compliance, risk management, or internal controls.
Experience with investigations and reporting tools.
