Job Description

1. Purpose

A Product lead position in Solutions team, Visa, CISSEE sub-region. Incumbent for this role should be an experienced resource in products, will be responsible for creation and organization of execution, driving consumer product strategy, development, sales, pre and post product implementation support and providing project management to different suites of consumer product capabilities (card benefits, consumer value proposition offerings, loyalty, digital solutions and platforms) in Ukraine. Product lead will be a part of an overall Product team serving CISSEE markets.

2. Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Area

• Responsible for development and organizing of execution of comprehensive consumer product (both Premium and Mass) strategy which addresses Ukraine markets/client’s needs.
• Organizing and driving grow and maximize products revenue in conjunction with managing expense prudently, including managing vendors’ efficiently. Support contingency plans against revenue targets to ensure success.
• Provide subject matter expertise to drive the sales process by partnering with other key functions within Visa, as well as supporting the post-sale process including contracts, reporting, billing, and solution/benefit utilization support. Interacting with the clients and local vendors directly and frequently is necessary.
• Organizing and driving better product utilization and optimization sessions with Ukraine markets clients to enable them to maximize the benefits in using our solutions.
• Initiate improvements and recommendations, including for communication materials and channels, developed for use by internal stakeholders, external stakeholders for the purposes of education, sales and support.
• Work closely with key external partners in Ukraine market such as Banks, Merchants, Vendors, support with MNOs ect.
• Work closely with key internal stakeholders in Ukraine markets such as the Business Development team, Marketing, Digital solution team and overall CISSEE Solutions teams to understand client and market needs, challenges and influence the changes required to deliver greater product value proposition.

3. Strategic Nature, Management Accountability & Scope

• Contributes to the CISSEE products strategy and leads strategic projects to achieve Products milestones and objectives for the Ukraine market.
• Manages Consumer Products across Ukraine market as a team contributor and SME.
• Secure and grow Premium Leadership as key XB revenue driver and ensure Card Fee revenue.

4. Decision Making & Complexity

• Decisions impact the implementation of Consumer product plans for Ukraine markets.
• Main contact for key partners in the market, including merchants who create value in the market.
• Helps develop market plans including business and product priorities
• Contributes to the development of consumer products strategy and recommends product improvements
• Mastery in consumer products, applies skills and competencies in challenging situations
• Operates with limited guidance in a matrix organization structure and multicultural environment
• Skillful in managing expectations across internal and external stakeholders

5. Financial & Organizational Scope

Ukraine product deliverables including revenue and expense targets, performance meeting CISSEE and Functional scorecards

6. Reporting Relationships & Interactions

• Role is based in Kyiv, Ukraine and reports to Regional product development and delivery team lead in the Kiev Office
• Interacts regularly with staff at all levels throughout the CISSEE hub, country management, business development and other functional teams.
• This position will involve interaction and communication with Visa stakeholders, including financial institutions, processors, agents, merchants and vendors.

This individual is expected to interact effectively with all levels of Visa management and staff. Strong interpersonal skills will be required to address on-going needs of a complex, matrix reporting structure and multinational organization. Multicultural sensitivity and good interpersonal relationship management skills are essential including the ability to work effectively – both autonomously

Qualifications

Professional

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 15 years of experience in areas of Banking, Product Management, Loyalty/Rewards, Analytics, Card Products & Payments
• Proven execution experience in a product management capacity, including product development and launch and/or managing loyalty/reward programs and/or consumer propositions in financial services/retail banking/ payments arena
• Product management skills (knowledge of product lifecycle, development and implementation frameworks etc.)
• Strong Project Management and experience with Agile development
• Strong analytical skills and data driven aptitude
• Systems thinking and understanding of software development process, including API driven solutions and web services technology
• Strong knowledge of marketing, product management and portfolio management principles in financial services/retail banking/ payments arena

Technical & Business

• Proficient user of all Microsoft Office products

• Strong presentation skill is necessary including proficiency in using MS PowerPoint
• English speakers preferred
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Proven track record of successful plan execution in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to execute independently and operate successfully within a matrix/team environment
• Ability to interact effectively with external partners that include vendors, clients, government regulators
• Ability and willingness to travel
