Job Description

Purpose of the role

To educate and upskill operational colleagues through training, coaching and knowledge transfer initiatives. 

Accountabilities

• Development of training programmes, workshops and other initiatives to coach and support the knowledge transfer and skill development of the banking operational teams/colleagues.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of training programmes and making recommendations for improvement.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in learning and development.
• Execution of training needs assessments and collaborating across the bank to identify gaps in knowledge and skills.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in relation to learning and development.
• Identifying risk and issues internally within team and ability to escalate appropriately.
• Maintain Barclays branding, ensuring all materials are reflective of the standards; adhering to Barclays governance, standards and policies.

Step into a role of FCS Training Analyst , where you will take responsibility for client service and operational execution task. You must take responsibility for controlling risk and enhancing controls in connection to your job and areas of responsibility in accordance with rules and regulations.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.

• Training Delivery & Facilitation: Proven ability to deliver impactful training programs and facilitate workshops.

• Learning Design & Development: Experience in designing learner-centric content, curricula, and development programs.

• Coaching & Mentoring: Ability to guide, support, and develop employees through structured coaching and mentoring approaches.

• Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across levels.

Desirable skills sets:

• Design, develop, and deliver learning programs covering Financial Crime topics, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, and Fraud Prevention.

•   Facilitate engaging instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning sessions for employees across multiple functions and levels.

• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify capability gaps and implement targeted learning interventions.

• Coach and mentor employees to enhance technical expertise, investigative capabilities, and professional development.

• Support change and transformation initiatives by developing learning strategies that drive adoption of new processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.

• Promote a strong risk and control culture through training programs focused on governance, compliance, and operational excellence.

• Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve learning content based on business feedback and performance outcomes.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging financial crime risks to ensure training content remains relevant.
