Job Summary

• Assist SCT in monitoring, reviewing, analyzing and summarizing underlying assets that the desk finances via Asset Backed Loan (ABL) facilities or on a single-name basis
• Analyzes investment memos, credit agreements, management presentations, financial projections, compliance certificates, recent financial statements or rating agency reports to develop a view on underlying assets, and prepares summaries that are used by SCT to assess the credit risk and worthiness of underlying assets

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares credit reports for assets in the SCT portfolio, including one-pagers and summary write-ups
• Supports SCT in the preparation of deal screening memos and credit approval memos
• Reconciles inputs in the borrowing base model with reported financial statements/compliance certificates, and brings underperforming assets to the attention of SCT
• Helps to maintain data accuracy in third-party portfolio reporting system
• Liaises with Portfolio Analytics & Monitoring (PAM) on monitoring the portfolio, monthly/quarterly compliance and preparation of the quarterly review
• Prepares ongoing summary of approved and underperforming assets for agented transactions
• Helps to maintain a database on key terms for ABL facilities
• Supports SCT with the closing and funding process
• Supports SCT on ad-hoc requests and presentations

Other Responsibilities
• Excel / Financial Modelling
• Valuation Techniques: Trading comparables, transaction comps, precedent analysis, NAV/SOTP.
• Accounting Knowledge / Financial statement analysis
• Prior Credits Trading / investment banking / Corporate Finance experience
• Stakeholder management

Skills and Experience

• Prior 4-5 years of work experience in credit analysis and portfolio monitoring
• Ability to read a credit memo or Lender Presentation, understand quarterly/annual financials and determine key credit drivers, risks/mitigants to develop a view on a credit
• Understanding of credit documentation a plus
• Experience in MS Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and to meet timelines
• High attention to detail
• Financial Modelling and Accounting
• MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Market Data Services (Bloomberg / Capital IQ / Mergermarket)
• Industry Research
• Due Diligence
• Problem Solving

Qualifications

• MBA, Chartered Accountants, CFA, Masters in finance
• Hold CA, CFA, FRM Certifications
